About Damian Delune, Incarcerated Writer
Who I am and my story, updated December 28, 2024
Biography
My name is Damian Delune and I’m married to sex writer and educator, Demeter V Delune. I know, I’m a lucky guy! I’m not the prolific storyteller my wife is, but I promise to do my best. I’ve been coming up with stories in my head most of my life. It’s always been a way for me to escape whatever is going on in the world.
I wanted to begin telling my own stories. My wife began writing here a bit over two years ago, regaling folks with her personal tales of sexual freedom, educating the masses on sexuality since what’s otherwise available is pretty crappy, and a bit about our journey together. I read everything she writes and love that she’s so open and vulnerable in her stories. I can see what a difference it’s made for her and for our relationship and want to work on that for myself as well.
I’m not the educator she is, but I know, if I’d had someone to talk to who has been through the things I think about on a regular basis, my life would be different. I want to create a place where people can see a bit of themselves and maybe, walk away feeling less alone.
Mental Health, the LGBTQ community, Feminism, Parenting, Social Justice, Incarceration, and Sexuality are my topics of passion and likely what I’ll write about most.
What’s Changed Since I Started:
As of October 6, 2021, I am incarcerated. Clearly, I don’t have access to the internet in my current situation, but thankfully, for the most part, I do have access to my wife. She will be running my page and sharing my stories with everyone. We have a long road ahead of us, around 5 years, so I’m sure I’ll have plenty of stories to share.
Welcome. Grab a seat and a cup of whatever your poison is and enjoy the ride.
Current Events- December 28, 2024:
It’s been almost 39 months since my incarceration and at this point, we feel like a lot of this is old hat. Although we still have a little over two years to go (my release date is April 27, 2027) after 39 months, we’ve gotten the hang of things.
