More often than not, trial and error — and the whims of whomever is in the mail room are major factors.

Author’s Note: I’d like to preface this piece by saying we don’t tolerate shaming of natural sexual urges and practices here. Whether you’re out in the regular world or inside a correctional institution, masturbation is a normal part of life. If you don’t want to read about it, here’s your warning this article might not be a fit for you. This may not be what you’re used to reading on this account, but it is something that occurs within prisons and it’s a topic that Damian and I both wanted to discuss.

While Damian is typically the author of the pieces here, with my input and editing skills (and of course, I publish them since he has zero access to the internet) today, you get mostly me, Demeter. I’m a sex educator, sure, but also, but I’m the person who spends the time researching the rules and regulations pertaining to what is and isn’t allowed within the confines of the prison where Damian is housed, and deals with the fallout on the outside (from prison admins) when I inadvertently break the rules.
